Alstom: unveils new train in Singapore
(CercleFinance.com) - Alstom is unveiling the first of the new trains for the North-South and East-West lines in Singapore.
The new rolling stock will replace 106 first-, second- and third-generation trainsets that have been in service for an average of almost 30 years. Passengers will benefit from easier access, with more open spaces for pushchairs and wheelchairs.
The new trains are part of the program to modernise and renew the central systems of the North-South and East-West lines, and delivery of the 106 new trains will be completed by the end of 2026.
