Alstom: acquires Helion Hydrogen Power
(CercleFinance.com) - Late on Thursday Alstom announced the acquisition of Helion Hydrogen Power, an innovative nugget specialising in high power fuel cells.
Helion Hydrogen Power, a fully-owned subsidiary of AREVA Renewable Energies, will enrich Alstom's portfolio of innovative and competitive solutions and enable it to continue implementing its strategic plan entitled "Alstom in Motion".
This acquisition strengthens Alstom's technological footprint in France and its geographical footprint in the South of France, in addition to its current sites in Aix-en-Provence and Vitrolles. Helion Hydrogen Power employs nearly 30 people in Aix-en-Provence.
Renamed Alstom Hydrogen S.A.S., Helion Hydrogen Power is now a fully-owned subsidiary of Alstom.
