Alstom: completes phase 1 of tramway in Qatar
(CercleFinance.com) - Alstom has completed Phase 1 of the Light Rail Transit project for Lusail, a planned city currently under construction near Doha, Qatar.
This phase of the project covers 9.7 km of single track without catenary and 12.8 km of single underground track. It also includes 16 stations.
The network will be operated with new-generation Citadis X05 trams. These trams with and without catenary (APS technology) will be able to carry up to 209 passengers each.
