Alstom: signs E130m contract in Morocco
(CercleFinance.com) - Alstom has signed a contract with Casa Transports, the company that manages Casablanca's public transport system, to supply 66 Citadis X05 trams, with an option for 22 additional trams for lines 3 and 4, due to open at the end of 2023.
The contract is worth 130 million euros.
Over 220,000 passengers currently use this network every day. To meet growing demand for mobility, Casa Transports will extend the lines by some 26 km and purchase new rolling stock.
Alstom previously supplied 124 Citadis x02, the power supply and signalling equipment for lines 1 and 2.
