Alstom: presents first RER NG trainset for Ile-de-France
(CercleFinance.com) - Alstom has presented the first trainset of the New Generation RER at Alstom's rail test centre in Valenciennes.
Ordered by SNCF Mobilités on behalf of Île-de-France Mobilités, the New Generation RER will be delivered from the end of 2021 for lines D and E. They will also equip the new western section of RER E, which is due for delivery in late 2022 - first to Nanterre and then in late 2024 to Mantes-la-Jolie.
1.23 million passengers will use it on a daily basis once at least 255 trainsets are deployed.
