Alstom: wins contract for 30 regional trains in Germany
(CercleFinance.com) - Alstom announces that it has won a contract to supply 30 Coradia Lint regional trains to Hessische Landesbahn (HLB), which is worth almost 120 million euros.
They will run on the Wetterau West-East subnetwork from 2022.
"The trains, which contain 120 seats, are spacious and bright, equipped for disabled passengers and offer a unique travel experience thanks to their large windows," the rail equipment maker said.
These trains are the first Coradia Lint 41 to be fitted with diesel engines meeting the new European standard for Stage V emissions. They will be manufactured in Salzgitter, Germany, at one of Alstom's largest plants in the world.
