Alstom: 5 extra Coradia Polyvalent for Southern France
(CercleFinance.com) - Alstom will supply 5 additional Coradia Polyvalent regional trains to the South Region for approximately 32 million euros.
Deliveries will occur from late 2020 to early 2021.
Thiis Region had already ordered 10 Coradia Versatile for Régiolis, which were commissioned in 2015.
These trains, which consist of four wagons, have a total capacity of 214 seats, with an unprecedented level of comfort on regional lines: seats are equipped with individual reading lights and electrical sockets, areas are dedicated to bicycles and luggage, there are large windows and reduced levels of sound and vibrations.
Coradia Polyvalent is the first French regional train to comply with all European standards - in particular access to people with reduced mobility.
To date, 333 Coradia trains have been ordered under the contract awarded to Alstom by SNCF Mobilités in October 2009, including 272 Coradia Polyvalent and 61 Coradia Liner trains.
