Alstom: makes new metros of the Grand Paris Express
(CercleFinance.com) - The Société du Grand Paris, in agreement with Île-de-France Mobilités, has appointed Alstom to supply rolling stock for the 15, 16 and 17 lines of the Grand Paris Express metro.
The contract is worth up to 1.3 billion euros for the development and supply of up to 1000 wagons (183 trainsets).
These new metros will be able to circulate at speeds of up to 110 km/h in driverless automatic mode and will consist of 6-wagon trains on line 15, and 3 wagons on lines 16 and 17.
The first trainsets will leave the factory in 2022, with their commissioning scheduled for 2024.
