(CercleFinance.com) - Barclays has renewed its "overweight" rating on the Alstom stock, along with its target price of 33 euros in a report issued on Friday.
This follows the yesterday morning's publication of encouraging Q1 accounts, with a 6% increase in annual sales and orders that are 18% higher than the consensus.
From a sector point of view, there is continued speculation around a potential buy-out of Siemens' rail operations. However, there is no urgency for Alstom to initiate such an operation, says the broker, which highlights Alstom's sound financial situation and detects further potential for restructuring.
