Alstom: the Citadis Dualis tram-train is commissioned.
(CercleFinance.com) - Alstom's Citadis Dualis tram-trains began their commercial service on the Epinay-sur-Seine-Le Bourget stretch of the T11 Express line on Saturday.
The first Citadis Dualis was delivered to SNCF Mobilités for Île-de-France last August, with a delivery rate of one train per month, which enabled it to carry out tests progressively. Designed on the Citadis tram, it is capable of driving both on a tramway network and on a regional rail network thanks to its ability to adapt in terms of power, safety and comfort. This set-up makes it a versatile form of transport.
48 Citadis Dualis tram-train trainsets are already in circulation at present, of which 24 are in the Rhône-Alpes region and 24 in the Pays-de-la-Loire region.
