Nexity: aims to double production of wooden housing
(CercleFinance.com) - Nexity Group has said that it will take steps to develop wooden housing, aiming to double the production of such accommodation by 2020.
In concrete terms, a pilot subsidiary in the Paris area will particularly work on this material, enabling other housing subsidiaries to gradually convert, benefiting from technical and economic lessons, Nexity explained.
The increased use of new construction methods, such as wood is part of the Group's CSR trajectory through to 2020-2030. In particular, between 2015 and 2030 this aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 30% per accommodation unit delivered and by 21% per m2 of office floor space delivered.
