Bureau Veritas: chooses GTT's digital maintenance solution
(CercleFinance.com) - GTT has announced that it has obtained approval in principle from Bureau Veritas for the use of a digital solution intended to assess "sloshing" (liquid movement in the tank, sloshing) and optimise the frequency of maintenance of membrane LNG tanks.
This digital solution is based on GTT's "Sloshing Virtual Sensor" technology, using the tank's digital twin and real-time operational data from floating units to monitor the evolution of critical parameters relating to the integrity of the tank.
Artificial intelligence combined with the expertise of GTT teams, has made it possible to develop a unique digital solution to optimise the frequency of tank maintenance operations, while guaranteeing the highest level of safety, increasing operational flexibility and making substantial savings, GTT said.
