Bureau Veritas: creates joint venture in South-East Asia
(CercleFinance.com) - Bureau Veritas has announced the creation of BVAQ, a joint venture with the New Zealand group AsureQuality, a Singapore-based company that is specialised in the analysis of food products for the South East Asian market.
BVAQ comprises testing laboratories recently created by the French group in Vietnam, Indonesia and Thailand, as well as its majority stake in the Malaysian company Permulab, and the laboratory created by AsureQuality in Singapore in 2010.
Bureau Veritas has a 51% majority stake in this new business.
"South East Asia represents 650 million people and benefits from a booming food industry and an increasingly complex food regulatory environment," the company said.
