Iliad: +172,000 Free fiber subscribers in Q2
(CercleFinance.com) - Iliad's subsidiary Free says that it is establishing itself as the leading fiber operator in in terms of net recruitments in the second quarter, ahead of the incumbent operator Orange, adding over 172,000 fiber subscribers over the period.
"With 11.5 million connectible sockets and a presence in 100% of French departments in Metropolitan France, Free has built the leading FTTH network among the alternative operators," Iliad said.
It adds, "Free is also the only operator to offer 10G-EPON1 Fiber technology (subject to the subscriber having a compatible offer and Freebox) and to mainstream average upload speeds of 600 Mbps in France".
