Iliad: agrees 300 million euro loan with the EIB
(CercleFinance.com) - Iliad group today announces taking on a new loan of 300 million euros, supported by the Investment Plan for Europe, for the expansion of Iliad's fiber network in France, with the European Investment Bank (EIB).
With this agreement, Iliad has strengthened its status as the leading alternative operator in optical fiber. With 3,000 employees working on this, each day the group participates the development of the territory, including in less dense and rural areas through public initiative networks. Iliad said that it has over 1 million fiber subscribers across 10 million plug-in sockets in over 90 departments. It confirms its aim to have 20 million sockets connectable to fiber by the end of 2022.
This new loan brings the total loans provided by the EIB to 850 million euros to Iliad since 2009.
