Renault: passenger car and SUV sales up 1.3% in 2019

(CercleFinance.com) - On Thursday, Renault reported personal car and SUV sales up 1.
3% in 2019, to 698,690 units.

According to the group, these are the strongest sales volumes in nine years, bringing its market share to 25.9%.

In detail, the group sold 554,962 Renault vehicles (+1.4%) and 140,548 Dacia vehicles (-0,7%), as well as 3,200 Alpine vehicles. In addition, the Renault group had five vehicles in the Top 10 for passenger cars, including the Clio at the top of the league table and three SUVs in the top three slots.

"We end the year on a positive note, thanks to the renewal of our best-sellers in the A and B segments. In 2020, against a new legislative backdrop, we see many opportunities ahead of us in terms of products, new motors, thanks to the commitment and expertise of our network" added Ivan Segal, France marketing director of Renault.
