Renault: partnership confirmed with MClaren.
(CercleFinance.com) - At lunchtime on Friday Renault Sport Racing and McLaren Racing confirmed their partnership agreement for the supply of engines for the seasons 2018, 2019 and 2020.
Under the agreement, Renault Sport Racing will provide its Formula 1 engines to McLaren, while establishing a close collaboration with this team's engineers and technicians.
Despite being jointly present in Formula 1 since 1977 (McLaren Racing has competed 814 Grand Prix, while Renault 591 as an engine manufacturer). To date, both entities have never had the opportunity to collaborate together, although now this is thing of the past.
