Renault: higher synergies for the Renault-Nissan alliance
(CercleFinance.com) - The Renault-Nissan Alliance on Friday announced a 16% increase in synergies last year relative to 2015.
To achieve this, members of the Alliance have made savings, increased revenues and implemented cost-cutting measures through their partnership - which is the largest in the world in this sector - the group explained in a statement.
The annualised synergies generated by the Alliance amounted to 5 billion euros in 2016, compared to 4.3 billion euros the previous year. The additional 700 million in synergies mainly come from converged operations in procurement, engineering and manufacturing.
