Société Générale: ALD completes acquisition of LeasePlan
(CercleFinance.com) - Société Générale, ALD's long-term majority shareholder, today announced that it has completed the acquisition of 100% of LeasePlan's capital by its subsidiary from a consortium led by TDR Capital.
The combination of ALD's and LeasePlan's activities will create the world leader in sustainable mobility solutions.
The new combined entity will be well positioned to generate profitable growth by leveraging a fleet of approximately 3.3 million vehicles, including the world's largest multi-brand electric vehicle fleet, and a direct presence in 44 countries covering all customer categories, the group said.
This acquisition is expected to impact Societe Generale Group's CET1 capital ratio by 39 basis points.
