Eiffage: contract for water production in Djibouti.

(CercleFinance.com) - Eiffage has announced the signing of a contract for the PEPER (Drinking Water Production by Renewable Energy) project in Djibouti.

This contract is worth 63 million euros (with Eiffage's share representing 37 million euros).

The project includes a desalination unit with a treatment capacity of 22,500 m3/day and a set of works, which in the long term guarantee a total production capacity of 45,000 m3/day. A tank of 5,000 m3 and a 700 mm-diameter pipe that is 8.5 km long complete the operation, notably to connect the plant to the city's drinking water distribution network.

The work will begin immediately and will last 3 years. The consortium will operate the project for 5 years.
