Lagardère: finalises sale of Lagardère Studios
(CercleFinance.com) - Lagardère has said that on 30 October it completed the sale of Lagardère Studios to the audiovisual content company Mediawan, in a deal that is part of its strategic refocusing announced on 22 June.
At the time the group said that the proposed sale valued Lagardère Studios at an estimated enterprise value of 100 million euros, of which 85 million euros was paid on closing, with an additional 15 million euros payable in 2023.
As a producer and distributor of content in Europe and Africa, with a presence in France, Spain, Finland and the Netherlands, Lagardère Studios generated revenues of 218 million euros in 2019, it said.
