Vivendi: UMG project postponed?
(CercleFinance.com) - As the sharpest faller in the CAC 40 today, Vivendi shares are down almost 4% this morning.
According to a report published yesterday by the Californian media Digital Music News, the proposed sale of the "nugget" Universal Music Group (UMG) could be significantly delayed.
Digital Music News says that last week, Vivendi decided to suspend the operation for six months, which would postpone it until 2020. This would not be all, because then, the group faced the aggravation of disputes with artists regarding the consequences of the fire that ravaged Universal Studios in 2008.
