Vivendi: abstains from voting at Ubisoft's AGM.
(CercleFinance.com) - Late on Friday afternoon Vivendi reported that it "naturally" abstained from voting on resolutions at Ubisoft's AGM which had been held today.
The media conglomerate said regretted that against all logic of governance, it has still not been invited to be represented on the company's board of directors. This is a situation which it considers puzzling, as it is currently the largest shareholder of the video games publisher, with a stake of 26.63%.
Vivendi considers that under these circumstances it is unable to approve the resolutions put up for approval. The roup also condemned "the total lack of openness on behalf of Ubisoft's family shareholders", which in its opinion deprives the company of key support in its development, along with a proven track record in the field of media and entertainment.
