Vivendi: disagrees with Consob on Telecom Italia.
(CercleFinance.com) - Vivendi noted yesterday evening the decision of the Italian financial regulator Consob, which considers that the French conglomerate is exercising "a de facto control" on Telecom Italia, and announces that it will appeal.
The group chaired by Vincent Bolloré holds nearly 24% of the ordinary shares of the Italian telecom operator, or 17.2% of its total share capital.
Vivendi "formally challenges this interpretation and will appeal to the competent jurisdictions," and has confirmed that it has "always complied with applicable law and regulations".
