Vivendi: towards the end of the Mediaset crisis?

(CercleFinance.com) - According to the Bloomberg news agency, Vivendi intends to bury the hatchet with the Berlusconi family in the Mediaset Premium case.

The French group, which is chaired by Vincent Bolloré, is considering letting Mediaset, one of the holding companies of the Berlusconi family, take a seat on the board of a joint venture that would associate Canal+ with Telecom Italia. The Italian group would place Mediaset Premium therein - its pay-TV channel - which is the subject of the dispute with Vivendi.

This potential joint venture would then have greater weight in negotiations, for example in talks about the costly broadcasting rights of sporting events. This would enable the different players involved to finally get out of what seems to be a strategic and financial rut.
