Casino: first agricultural supply chain launched by Horizon
(CercleFinance.com) - Auchan retail, Casino and Schiever announce that Horizon, their new generation central buying platform is launching its first French farming supply channel for free range eggs that will be sold under the three companies' own brands.
The French free-range eggs will be produced in open air farms, with hens fed without GMOs and subject to no antibiotic treatment. Consumers will be able to buy these eggs in stores under their own brands as from April 2019.
Auchan Retail, Casino and Schiever have committed themselves for a period of at least three years, with guaranteed minimum volumes. Other agricultural products are being discussed, which will be jointly implemented in 2019 under the same terms.
