Vinci: to acquire ACS' energy business
(CercleFinance.com) - Vinci announces that it has signed an agreement with ACS to acquire its energy business, which employ about 45,000 people, generates revenues of over 6 billion euros and has an EBITDA margin of above 6%.
The deal has been completed at an enterprise value of 4.2 billion euros. On this basis, the acquisition price is estimated to be approximately 4.9 billion euros at closing, which is expected to occur at the end of 2021 subject to customary regulatory approvals, including those of competition authorities.
In addition, ACS will receive an additional payment of 40 million euros for each GW of ready-to-build renewable power developed, over a period of up to 8.5 years after closing, up to a total of 15 GW, resulting in a maximum contingent payment of 600 million euros.
