Ingenico: partnership with Galleries Lafayette.
(CercleFinance.com) - Ingenico Group has announced that it is accompanying Galeries Lafayette for the development of its digital showroom, a concept of “smart” leather goods, by equipping them with omnichannel payment facilities.
At the stores of La Rochelle and Cannes, the showroom exhibits a reduced number of items that have NFC labels. The customer finalises his/her purchase by logging onto his/her Galeries Lafayette account from a screen and paying for purchases on the associated Ingenico payment terminal.
This concept enhances the leather goods offering in regional stores and will be extended beyond this two-store experiment. Galeries Lafayette will be a leader in high-end leather goods in the regions as it is in Paris and be able to develop its sales of this type of product.
