Saint-Gobain: divests PSE business in France
(CercleFinance.com) - Through its subsidiary Placoplatre, Saint-Gobain announces that it has entered into an agreement with the consortium HIRSCH Servo and BEWiSynbra to sell its expanded polystyrene (PSE) business in France, which includes six production sites and approximately 240 employees.
The PSE business in France generated revenue of approximately 70 million euros in 2018. The completion of this transaction remains subject to approval from the relevant competition authorities and is expected to be effective by the end of 2019.
This transaction is part of Saint-Gobain's strategy to optimise its portfolio as part of its new organisation. To date, disposals that have been completed or signed represent sales of over 3.2 billion euros.
