Saint-Gobain: one billion euro bond issue
(CercleFinance.com) - Saint-Gobain announces that it has successfully made a bond emission of 1 billion euros, in two installments of 500 million each, respectively maturing in five years, with a coupon of 0.
875%, and 10 years, with a coupon of 1.875%.
As such Saint-Gobain will benefit from favourable market conditions to extend the average maturity of its debt, while optimising its average funding cost, the building materials group said.
The final order book, which is almost equally divided between the two instalments, reached nearly 7 billion euros, with demand from over 300 different investors, reflecting the market's confidence in the quality of the group's credit.
