Veolia: Suez's proposal rejected

(CercleFinance.com) - Reacting quickly to Suez's announcement that it has received and accepted a "firm and binding" offer from the Ardian-GIP consortium, Veolia said that it is not interested in its negotiating proposal.

The utilities group confirms that it will not sell or exchange its 29.9% stake in Suez, and that the takeover bid that it has filed “is still irrevocable even after the activation of the Dutch entity, and is the only offer for the entire capital of Suez”

As a reminder, the offer received by Suez entails the acquisition by the Ardian-GIP consortium of a large part of its activities, at a price representing an enterprise value of 15.8 billion euros, i.e. the equivalent of 20 euros per share.
