Bel Group: transformation project now submitted
(CercleFinance.com) - Bel Group today announces that its transformation project, which is aimed at developing its international brands - both in its historic cheese and dairy market and in the healthy snacks segment, has been submitted to its Board of Directors meeting today.
This project is subject to a legal information-consultation procedure and negotiation with the staff representative bodies. This should continue until December.
The implementation of this restructuring project would lead to layoffs in France, mainly at Fromageries Bel in Suresnes, via a voluntary departure plan, accompanied by a redeployment plan. It could lead to the 160 redundancies and the creation of 116 jobs out of its workforce of 3,800 staff in France. The group's Industrial activities would not be affected.
