Essilor: organic sales growth of 3.2% in Q1
(CercleFinance.com) - Essilor International has posted Q1 2018 sales of 1,825 million euros, down 5.
8% as reported, but up 3.2% on an homogeneous basis and up 3.8% excluding FX factors.
Growth on an homogeneous basis reflects a 2.9% growth at the "glasses and optical equipment" division, a 6.6% increase at the "sunglasses & readers" division and a high comparison basis for "equipment" (-3.1%).
In 2018, Essilor is aiming for sales growth on an homogeneous basis of around 4%, with a contribution from the business of at least 18.3% of sales. Essilor's planned merger with Luxottica is set to be finalised in the first part of 2018.
