Colas: finalises disposal of Smac
(CercleFinance.com) - Colas has announced that it has completed the disposal of Smac to a subsidiary of OpenGate Capital.
The disposal agreement was signed on 13 February and all conditions precedent, including the agreement from the competition authorities, were lifted in early May.
Based in Issy-les-Moulineaux, Smac provides waterproofing and cladding solutions through two divisions, Smac Travaux and Smac Industrie. Its disposition wFR0000121634 ill not have a significant impact on Colas' operating profit.
With this disposal and after the acquisitions of Miller McAsphalt and the railway activities of Alpiq Engineering Services in 2018, Colas is refocusing its business and strengthening its presence in its core activities of transport infrastructure and equipment.
