Thales: to supply Satria satellite to Indonesia
(CercleFinance.com) - Thales will supply Indonesia with the Satria telecommunication satellite.
Thales Alenia Space (joint venture between Thales (67%) and Leonardo (33%) will design and manufacture the satellite.
The satellite will contribute to the development of digital infrastructure in Indonesia. It aims to connect approximately 145,000 zones, including 90,000 schools, 40,000 hospitals and public buildings, as well as regional government sites.
The company will also be responsible for providing two satellite control centers (main and backup).
Thales Alenia Space will also set up a comprehensive training program for PSN engineers.
