Thales: training for military personnel in Australia
(CercleFinance.com) - Thales is participing in the training of military helicopter crews in Australia.
The HATS system trains up to 130 professionals each year - pilots, air combat officers, sensor operators and crew members.
Thales and Boeing have designed the system that will prepare naval and air force personnel for the transition and complexity of operations with modern combat helicopters.
Thales has also provided the common information and communication system (ICT) and curriculum for different positions.
Thales Australia CEO Chris Jenkins said that "the HATS project is a great demonstration of how industry can collaborate to provide the most innovative and comprehensive support to the Australian Defence Force.With final acceptance for the HATS capability being achieved on the 14th March 2019, Thales in Australia is now in the position to continue to support the Australian Defence Force."
