Thales: agreement with DOJ antitrust division
(CercleFinance.com) - Thales and Gemalto announce that they have reached an agreement with the antitrust division of the United States Department of Justice (DoJ), which will enable them to continue with their planned merger, which is expected to be finalised this month.
The agreement reached with the DoJ is subject to the approval of the competent court in the United States. In line with the commitments already made with other authorities in the world, it requires Thales to sell its general purpose hardware security modules business.
