Thales: gets regulatory approval from CFIUS
(CercleFinance.com) - Thales and Gemalto announced on Wednesday evening that the The Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) has approved of its merger.
Thales and Gemalto have now obtained 6 of the 14 required regulatory authorisations.
Both groups continue to work actively with competent competition authorities to obtain the remaining regulatory authorisations in South Africa, Australia, the US, the European Union, Mexico, New Zealand and Russia.
As expected, the deal should be completed before the end of 2018.
