(CercleFinance.com) - Thales has announced completing the acquisition of Aveillant LTD, a start-up that is based in Cambridge, UK, which is a pioneer in holographic radar technology.
The financial terms of the deal have not been specified.
The French electronics group explained that thanks to this acquisition, Thales, a pioneer in digital technologies, will offer its clients a new detection and classification capability of drones.
Holographic radars provide a full and permanent surveillance of the entire airspace. This technology is particularly effective for detecting, tracking and classifying very small moving targets, such as drones.
