Thales: new tramway contract in Taiwan.
(CercleFinance.com) - Thales has announced that it has won a new contract for the upcoming light rail transit (LRT-Light Rail Transit) program in Ankeng, Taiwan, the group's third success in this country, after the contracts for the Danhai and Kaohsiung tramways.
The contract covers signaling systems, automated vehicle location, priority management, communication, as well as security and information services for passengers and equipment of the operations control centre.
This program is part of the transportation development plan for the city of Taipei, which has been developed to reduce travel times between regions, as well as the volume of traffic within the agglomeration.
