Thales: group develops in Singapore.

(CercleFinance.com) - The recent expansion of Thales' facilities at Changi International Airport has made it possible to combine all the avionics production, repair and maintenance (MCO) activities under one roof, thus ensuring better synergies and process optimisation, the company said in a statement released earlier this afternoon.

The aeronautics and defense group began its avionics business in Singapore over 40 years ago and currently produces systems for the Airbus A320, A350 and Boeing 787 fleets. Singapore is one of the group's three avionics repair sites, with other two being in Châtellerault (France) and Piscataway (United States).

Last year, the Singapore centre recorded over 30% growth in revenues, thanks to additional repairs for Diehl Aerospace, an Asian customer. Thales has also provided a customer support centre (CSC) for the Singapore subsidiary of Diehl, created last November to better serve its regional clients.
