Michelin: acquires Camso group
(CercleFinance.com) - The Michelin and Camso groups this afternoon announced that they have reached an agreement, after which Michelin will acquire Camso, a Quebec-based company that is specialised in the design, manufacture and distribution of off-the-road mobility solutions.
“Led by a set of common values and a strong tradition of innovation and R&D at both Michelin and Camso, and backed by high-quality teams, the strategic partnership makes the newly created entity the world leader in OTR mobility,” Michelin says.
The global leader that Michelin and Camso want to create will have revenues that are more than double those of Camso. It will have 26 factories, and will employ about 12,000 people and will benefit from markets that are "sustainably dynamic".
