Faurecia: invests in a US start-up firm
(CercleFinance.com) - Via Faurecia Ventures, Faurecia has announced that it has taken a stake in the capital of the US start-up company Promethient.
The terms of the deal were not specified.
Based in Michigan, Promethient has developed the thermal control technology Thermavance, which heats and cools by thermal conduction, with much greater efficiency than current convection technologies, the French group says.
Thermal comfort and air conditioning technologies integrated into the seat will hence facilitate the individual and personalised thermal management for each of the vehicle's passengers, said Nik Endrud, Vice President for Strategy and Innovation at Faurecia's Seating division.
