AXA: share upbeat after quality sales figures
(CercleFinance.com) - The AXA share closed up almost 2% in Paris on Friday, the day after it published solid quarterly revenues that were warmly welcomed by investors.
Note that the group reported 2.7% like-for-like growth in Q1 revenues, which reached 35 billion euros, compared with 30.8 billion euros in Q1 2018.
Revenues from the property and casualty insurance posted the strongest growth: +79.8%, or +5.7% as reported. These revenues reached about 11.4 billion euros, almost double the 6.3 billion euros posted a year ago.
