Sanofi: unfavourable verdict from Delaware Court
(CercleFinance.com) - Sanofi and Regeneron Pharmaceuticals announce that they are challenging certain aspects of a Delaware District Court jury's verdict confirming three of Amgen's five US PCSK9 antibody patents.
The jury agreed to two of the five alleged claims, finding that they were invalid due to the lack of a written description. This verdict has no impact on doctors and patients' access to Praluent in the United States.
Sanofi and Regeneron intend to file demands for the annulment of the verdict with the District Court in the coming months and, if necessary, to appeal to the Court of Appeal of the Federal Circuit.
