Bouygues: continues 5G tests in Lyon
(CercleFinance.com) - Bouygues today announced that nine 5G sites, out of the 39 authorised by ARCEP, are currently being tested in the 3rd and 6th districts of Lyon.
This experiment aims to better understand technology and equipment, the needs of the future deployment as well as assess the promises of 5G - in particular in terms of latency, capacity, throughput and services, Bouygues explained.
Bouygues says that it is also conducting experiments in Bordeaux, Paris, Vélizy and Rouen. Regarding Lyon, the first 5G call in real conditions was made on 4 January this year.
