AccorHotels: go-ahead from ACCC for Mantra takeover
(CercleFinance.com) - Accor has received the green light from the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) for the takeover of Mantra Group Ltd.
The deal now depends on approval from Mantra Group's shareholders, the Australian Federal Court and the Foreign Investment Review Board.
Mantra is one of the largest distributors and hotel operators in Australia, operating 127 locations representing over 20,000 rooms of hotels, resorts and apartments in Australia, New Zealand, Indonesia and Hawaii.
The deal is set to be completed in the second quarter of 2018.
