L'Oréal: expands consortium with Carbios
(CercleFinance.com) - L'Oréal and Carbios have announced a partnership with Nestlé Waters, PepsiCo and Suntory Beverage & Food Europe, which are joining their consortium to industrialise the recycling technology that is designed and developed by Carbios.
This company has developed an innovative enzymatic process to deconstruct used PET plastics into their original constituents. These constituents can then be reused to produce a high performance PET.
Under the terms of this four-year agreement, the partners hence aim to increase the availability of high-quality recycled plastics to support their commitments in terms of sustainability.
