L'Oréal: finalises disposal of The Body Shop.
(CercleFinance.com) - The French cosmetics giant, L'Oréal, this morning announced the finalisation, on 7 September, of the sale its subsidiary The Body Shop to the Brazilian group Natura, as announced on 9 June.
In particular this communication follows obtaining approval from the regulatory authorities.
For the record, this cosmetic brand founded in 1976 in Brighton by Anita Roddick had difficulty finding its place within L'Oréal's scope. In 2016, it generated consolidated sales of around 921 million euros through approximately 3,000 sales outlets.
The disposal price, indicated in June, gave The Body Shop an enterprise value of one billion euros.
