Total: acquires Global Wind Power France
(CercleFinance.com) - Total has announced that it will acquire 100% of Global Wind Power (GWP) France, which has a portfolio of over 1,000 megawatts (MW) of onshore wind projects, 250 MW of which will be commissioned by 2025.
"This new investment demonstrates Total's commitment to expand in all types of renewable energy while contributing to France's energy transition goals," said Philippe Sauquet, President Gas, Renewables and Power at Total.
GWP's teams will join Total Quadran (fully-owned subsidiary), adding to Total's existing expertise in order to speed up the wind power development in France.
